My wife’s birthday and our anniversary is almost 6 months apart. Being a Captain in the Merchant Navy, my work commitments force me to skip one of them every year. Recently I was promoted as the Captain and had to command a ship for a period of almost 8 months. When I left home, I knew I would miss my wife’s birthday this year too. But this year I wanted to surprise her with a car which would make her life back home easier.
On the ship I started studying the various options. Of the ones I had shortlisted, the Renault Kwid stood out prominently. Since it was a surprise, I could not ask my wife to go out and physically check out the car. That’s when I realized that the Renault Virtual studio could be an ideal tool to view the car in & out!
Knowing her for so long, I was certain that she would be thrilled with the Kwid so I decided to explore the Kwid in detail. Here is my amazing experience with the Renault Virtual Studio.
So I went to Renault’s India website and visited the Virtual Studio page. Currently, Renault has an option to explore the Kwid, Triber and the hot seller Kiger.
The first thing that I liked about the page is the super high definition graphics that allows you to zoom in to the minute details of the car without the image becoming blurred at any resolution. I could even see the stitching on the seats clearly.
The Renault Virtual Studio allows you to switch between car variants with ease. Since I wanted to make my wife’s life easier back home, I opted for the Renault Kwid AMT. The next step was to choose the body color. Now since the Kwid is available in a dual-tone exterior and I also knew that white is her favorite color, I chose the Ice Cool White and Mystery Black roof combination.
Then I decided to add a couple of necessary accessories to the car which I felt were necessary. On the outside, I added the alloy wheels as they tend to give a personality to the car. There was not much that I added though I was tempted to add more details.
But I could not resist the temptation to do the interiors in detail. The first thing I added was the floor mats, followed by the scuff plate, seat covers and a steering wheel cover. I was certain that she would love them.
Having completed the car selection along with the accessories, I then booked the car online all without ever visiting the showroom even once! The Renault Virtual Studio tool came in really handy for me.
I made sure that the car was delivered on the eve of her birthday which was an absolute surprise for her. On her birthday when I spoke with her over the phone, she was overjoyed to receive a gift which was anyway topping her wish list when I would have returned. I learnt that she had planned to buy the Renault Kwid AMT and was waiting for me to return.
When I finally landed back at the airport in India a month after her birthday, I saw her waiting for me in the passenger lounge.
She came to me and said with a twinkle in her eyes “This time, let me take you home instead of the taxi.”
We went to the parking lot and I saw the Renault Kwid for the first time. I must admit that the car looked even better in real life than on screen! I was happy to find that it had all the accessories that I had asked for.
As I got into the navigator’s seat and we began our journey back home, I realized that my wife had practiced her driving skills in the past one month and was now pretty confident and at ease with the car. The car too was responding well to her commands!
Thanks to the Renault Virtual Studio, I was able to give a perfect birthday present to my wife - the freedom to do whatever she liked.
