Loss after loss after loss after loss and it was all just piling up like garbage. The darkness within her was growing stronger and stronger and she had fought so hard. But, that voice in the back of her mind always sprang to life in her weakest moments. Hours had passed since Clash Of The Titans and she still felt as if she had been betrayed in the worst possible way. She understood that it was every woman for themselves in situations like that, but when her own partner had turned her back on her? That hurt more than anything else. The locker room had been nearly empty now, some of the girls still hanging around and just chatting as they packed up for the night. But, Savannah didn't feel so good. Her head was throbbing and her heart was weary. She stood at the porcelain sink, turning on some cold water as she splashed it on her face. Hands scrubbing down her cheeks and face gently as she reached out to grab some paper towels with her free hands. But, a pair of hands was already holding some out towards her.

Taking the paper towels from said person, the bubbly and enthusiastic woman patted at her face that was now bare of any make up whatsoever. Her gaze shifting towards none other than Aria Jaxon, one of her closest friends in this business. "Hey, Sunshine.. How are you feeling?" The olive skinned woman frowned slightly, a bit of worry crossing over her features as the brunette shrugged slightly. "Like I was just stabbed in the back... Again. It's getting frustrating now. It's like no matter how hard I fight, I still get knocked down again and again and again and it's getting so tiring to fight lately..." She sighed softly, forehead leaning against Aria's shoulder as the woman pulled her in for a hug. "There, there. Come on now, that's no kind of attitude to have! You're Savannah freaking Sunshine, no matter how much you get knocked down?" She pulled away, hands gingerly settled upon Savannah's shoulders before she helped pull her hair into a loose ponytail. "You get back up and you put on a goddamn show. I know it's hard, but it'll get better. Chin up, buttercup." Aria offered a small smile, tapping Savannah's chin softly as they shared one final embrace before Aria was heading out for the night.

Usually, she would have taken those words into consideration. But, that voice in the back of her mind was piping up now. Something twisted, mangled, distorted from reality. Something that sounded human, but all in one, not entirely human. "How pathetic. Poor little miss Sunshine... All alone and lost in this big, scary world. It must be a real hard time for you. But, don't you worry... All your worries will soon fade away." Savannah shook her head, trying to figure out what was going on. Never had the voice sounded as clear as it had up until now. She glanced at her reflection in the mirror, the room suddenly seeming as if it were shaking and the mirror shattering. The reflection she saw resembling someone she had never seen before. Something purely dark and yet, completely enticing all at once. "Savannah? Savannah?! Are you okay?" There was a hand on her shoulder, seemingly snapping her back to reality. Soft hues blinking a few times as she finally focused upon the voice, it was Revy. She inhaled a small breath, nodding her head a bit as she offered a small smile. "Yeah, sorry. I'm okay, just tired probably." Revy nodded, a slight look of worry crossing her features before she shrugged. "Come on, let's get you back to the hotel. You could use some rest."

The ride back to the hotel offered too much time for reflection. Too much time to look back on all of her failures the past few months. Too much time to realize that maybe, just maybe, her good wasn't good enough. Maybe all she needed was a nice, warm bubble bath. That sounded like heaven right about now, truly. She had called the front desk ahead of time, asking them to make sure they sent some lavender scented bubble bath and a vanilla bath bomb up to her room. Her accommodations met as she finally made it to her room. The buzzing from her pocket catching her attention as she quickly answered the phone. "Hello? Oh, hi mom. Yeah, I'm fine. Oh. You guys watched the show? Yeah, it's fine. Can't win 'em all. Hey, listen.. I'm really tired tonight. I'll call you in the morning okay? Love ya' too, bye." She hung up the phone, sliding the power off as she started getting everything ready for her bath. Stripping down and putting on a fluffy white robe as she tied her hair into a bun atop her head. It was time for some much needed relaxation and to forget about all of her troubles. A bubble bath away keeps the monsters away, that's what she always said at least.

Finally, she relaxed against the tub as all her troubles melted away. The weight upon her seemingly melting away as if it were nothing. Inhaling a small breath, she grabbed her Apple Watch to turn on some music before setting it aside again. The only sounds drifting softly through the room were her own breathing and the Moana soundtrack. For fifteen minutes, she was finally feeling at peace with herself, body, mind and spirit. But, she could almost swear she heard whispering. "Siri, pause my music." She called out loud enough for her watch to pick it up. The music pausing as she listened closely. "Savannah... Savannah..." There it was again. She stepped out, grabbing the white towel and wrapped it around her body. She poked her head out of the bathroom door, brows furrowed slightly. "Hello? Is someone out there?" She waited a few moments, but got no reply. Shrugging, she went back to finishing up her bath. The next few moments that occurred had happened so quickly that she had barely had any time to react to any of it. As she stepped out and drained the tub, she walked over to the mirror to dry her hair and do her nightly routine. As she was brushing her teeth, she felt something slimy drip down onto her shoulder. A small look of disgust crossing her features. "What the heck?" She narrowed her gaze slightly, looking towards the source of where the substance had fallen onto her.

Directly above her, hanging on the ceiling was what appeared to be a young woman. Her body tilted and angled at inhuman angles as she turned her head three hundred and sixty degrees. Savannah almost swore this was a dream, maybe she had seen one too many horror movies to count. "Poor little Sunshine, all alone and lost in this world. Don't be afraid, you have nothing to fear. We are here to help you, to guide you... To shape you into the perfect weapon." The voice was mangled, distorted and seemed to detach from the being itself. Before she had time to even ask any questions, the thing unhinged its jaw open wide and dropped down as it seemingly swallowed her whole in one go! The only thing anyone in close vicinity would be able to hear was Savannah's panicked screams before they were almost entirely muffled before silencing all at once.

The woman licked over her lips, glancing at her reflection in the mirror as she returned to a more human-like being. "All that sugar sure did her well. It's a shame she had to die in order to truly live." Fingers ran through violet locks and the woman let out a dark chuckle as the lights flickered slightly. This was merely the beginning of a new era of darkness. Savannah Sunshine was no more. Persephone Bane now stood in her place. Anyone who dared stand in her way would perish or fall to their knees before the Queen of the Underworld. One way or another, she would lay waste to those laid before her. It was only a mere matter of time before she came out to play.
