Guy Bechor blames progressive Jews for causing anti-Semitism.

Guy Bechor was born in Givatayim. In 1980-1984 he served as a correspondent for Arab affairs on Army Radio and was one of the founders of the newspaper "News." Later he studied law and history in the Middle East at Tel Aviv University, 1998 Served as an Arab affairs commentator for Haaretz.

In 1999 he received his Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University, specializing in civil law in Egypt. In 2009 he was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School. Between 1998 and 2012, he served as the head of the Middle East Studies Division at the Lauder School of Government, Strategy and Diplomacy at IDC Herzliya.

Journalistic career

After graduating, he began writing and interpreting Middle Eastern affairs in various media outlets in Israel and around the world. [1] Since 2006, he has been managing a blog with the name Gplanet, which includes commentary and news from the Middle East, Israeli affairs, economics and more. The eldest has a fixed corner that deals with the Muslim world in "The Morning World" program on Channel 13.

His positions: In 2004, Guy Bechor called on the Labor Party to join the Sharon government in order to work together for disengagement from the territories, and thought that this was an historic opportunity that should not be missed. [2] Years later, he thought the disengagement was disastrous: "The settlers in Gush Katif were Israel's flak jackets, and the residents of the Gaza vicinity have no right to cry over the fires they have today because they were in favor of the disengagement." [3] In preparation for the Gaza flotilla in 2010, Guy organized a counter-flotilla, [4] in which Israeli ships presented posters emphasizing the Islamization of Turkey under Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Bechor founded an Israeli campaign on Facebook called "My Daily Candy from Israel".

He calls for a tough line vis-a-vis the Arab states and the Palestinian organizations out of an understanding of the nature of Middle Eastern culture. Among other things, he attacks the Oslo process and views the Oslo Accords as part of a deceptive illusion about peace with the Arabs. In his opinion, this position is false and is presented to the public who wants it as a kind of secular messianism. [5]

According to Guy Bechor's interpretation, the Middle East is hopelessly divided into communities, tribes and beliefs that have been condescending to each other for centuries or more. In his opinion, the civil war in Syria and the internal rift and the many terrorist attacks in Iraq following the Iraq war confirm his interpretation. According to this interpretation, any political arrangement in the Middle East that does not take into account ethnic division or the dry interests is a loose arrangement that will be dismantled sooner or later. According to this interpretation, Dr. Bechor prefers not to be involved in the revolutions and civil wars taking place in the Arab world. [6] [7] In 2014, Bechor called for the construction of a fence along the Jordanian border in light of the developments in the civil war in Iraq, To erect the fence along the Egyptian border.

“These Jews are bringing a terrible tragedy on the Jews of the US,” he charges wildly. -- One person who seemingly does not agree is Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, who was shot in the attack and uses the gray lady as a platform to spread his message of Jewish resilience. - “I pray that my missing finger serves as a constant reminder to me."
