Chapter 8: Isabelle

For her infractions, I am obliged to reduce Isabelle's meals still further. A saucer of curdled milk in the morning and stale bread for supper. These victuals will be served on the flags of the scullery where the hounds are fed. In between times--as she has shown herself useless at even the simplest domestic chore--it is to be hoped she fairs better this evening as a foot stool for my guests.
