Greetings, my fellow members of the Smogon Community. The fact that all of you have, in the first place, registered an account on this website, which is dedicated to competitive Pokémon battling, tells me one thing - that burning deep within the souls of all of you is a special flame. A flame that motivates you all to strive ever upward. A will to test the limits of your own abilities. A desire to become the very best, like no one ever was. Though Nintendo and Game Freak have never truly given an exact definition of the term "Pokémon Master," it is safe to say that everyone reading this message possesses a compass in their heart which points towards one direction - the direction of Pokémon Mastery.

As a community, Smogon has stood for almost thirteen years now. And it is unfortunate to say, that for most of the time in which this community has existed, many people in it have experienced a loss of sight... in regards to that which they originally sought. It should be obvious to any Pokémon trainer with a clear mind and conscience that there is a difference between being a Pokémon Master, and merely being acknowledged by others as such. As members of
The Burning Red White Kyurems, it is of no interest to us whether or not others possess the intelligence and knowledge necessary to recognize our skills... because at the end of the day, all that we seek is to be the best. As such, I expect honor as well as complete and utter honesty from every Pokémon trainer in this Ubers Premier League team. We will not ghost or be ghosted by others in cheap pursuit of glory in the absence of true skill. We will not john our matches or fish for activity wins. And as I would personally most like to emphasise... I expect each and every one of the Pokémon teams which will serve us to victory in this tournament to be nothing less than excellent teams - teams that are hax-resilient, and have proven their consistency against countless different opponents and teams while being tested and tweaked throughout innumerable battles. The fact that we do not expect a specific opponent to utilize a certain common threat is no excuse for us to battle with teams that are weak to said threat, and are therefore less than excellent. And teams whose users have not familiarized themselves with by battling with said teams at least fifty times beforehand have no place in this tournament, as far as this Ubers Premier League team is concerned. Hard work conquers everything. Consistency defines success, and therefore Pokémon Mastery. And through the tried-and-true excellence of our teams, we will leave no gaps in our armor for our opponents to exploit... with the exception of luck.

Yes... luck. A power responsible for the occurrence of countless events in this universe ever since it first came into existence... yet a power no one truly understands. As Pokémon trainers, we can maximize our chances of winning by optimizing the quality of our teams, as well as the decisions we make in battle. However, once we have tried our best at that, we have no choice but to leave the rest to the random hand of fate. But that is where the powers of patience and the will come in. The power to have faith and believe. How bad of a team matchup you may have, or how much your opponent may have haxed you in your battle does not concern me - I expect the total number of times in which a member of
The Burning Red White Kyurems forfeits a battle in this Ubers Premier League to be exactly zero. If you are losing, pray that you will hax your opponent and claim victory... even if the only way to win is to score ten critical hits in a row. Or, if all else fails, pray that the opponent misplays, even if it means continuing to fight a losing battle for thousands of more turns. So that in the future, when people ask you how your battles in the fifth Ubers Premier League went... you can at least tell them honestly that you fought to the bitter end for the sake of your team's path towards victory... rather than that you surrendered, especially in a battle which you could still have won had you given your own luck a chance.

When the flame of the truth of the Great Pokémon Master's guidance and management fuses with the ice of his team members' cold, hard determination,
The Burning Red White Kyurems are created. There is a reason why I have chosen the official name of the Boundary Pokémon's White Forme as the name of this Ubers Premier League team. And that reason lies in the countless times this Pokémon has served me in battle in the past. Whenever I commanded this Pokémon to raze the opponent's team with its devastating special attacks, I could visualize the light of victory at the end of the tunnel embodied by the battle I was in. As such, in my eyes, the Pokémon Kyurem-W has become a symbol of victory itself. And in the same way... when I look at each and every one of you... I can also visualize that very same light that heralds the coming of The Burning Red White Kyurems' great victory.

Aiming for Heaven though serving in Hell, victory is ours. With a destructive wave of fire and ice, we will incinerate or glaciate all opposition. We will never surrender, get tired, or misplay, no matter how long a battle lasts. From the flames and snow, the blazing, yet freezing dragon has risen, and though we direct our prayers towards it for the luck that we desire, we will nonetheless believe in our own abilities, and try our best to win. May the mountains and the seas bow before our great team, and may our inner desires to achieve Pokémon Mastery guide us towards success. History will be written today. GLORY BE TO OUR IMMINENT VICTORY!
