Ranveer and Deepika are agents of rival companies. Both of their companies are widely successful all over India, but the one Deepika's employee for is a tad bit more successful. The jealousy from rivals and the fear of getting important ideas stolen is the reason both companies have agents to protect their uniqueness. When Deepika's boss Mr Mehra wants to make sure his new software program has not gotten in the hands of Alia Khan, Ranveer's boss, he gives her the mission to get the documents and designs of every new software program the company is producing. Alia Khan is also suspicious of Mr. Mehra so she gives her top agent Ranveer the mission to protect the documents as if his life depended on it. So then begins the hunt. Deepika does it the old fashioned way, she marks every cafe, every book store Ranveer ever went to on the map, collects pictures, writes notes. Ranveer on the other hand uses social media to find out about Deepika's whereabouts. They both secretly spy on each other before meeting eye to eye at a business party held by Alia Khan. There is an attraction there when they first actually have eye contact. Deepika sneaks into Alia Khan's office when no one is looking and tries to take a look at the documents but Ranveer follows her there. Deepika hears him and is interrupted, so she can't see much of what she wanted to see. She kisses him and 'seduces' him to distract him. She then escapes before he can wake up and leaves a note to let him now it's not over yet. He was about to call his boss to let her in on what was happening just now, but the minute he sees the note he hangs up and he actually feels something, but what it is, he's not sure yet. After that night they obviously meet again. Ranveer keeps a close watch on her after that night, because he is no fool, he knew her game from the beginning. He knows SHE is the one to actually keep an eye on and that's what he does. He asks her why she left & makes her nervous when he says that "she is arrested", for a minute she thinks he saw through her game but he breaks her nervousness with calling out her beauty. Obviously he knows what she's about but he wants her to believe he's actually buying it. Yet another note is left for him and the next place they meet is a bar. Deepika gets the spot of a good friend who is a performer at the show. She wants to seduce him yet again to get into his apartment in hopes there is some useful information there. Of course Ranveer enjoys the dance number and is easily seduced by her after and yet again Deepika leaves the bed sneakily and sneaks into the other room to check on his computer files. Ranveer would never sleep in a room that has Deepika in it, so the minute he realizes that she is out spying, he rushes to the phone to call his boss again. Deepika is trying to listen to the phone conversation with her 'in ear'. Ranveer hears her breathing against the door and once again he hangs up and pulls out his gun. Deepika knows he is harmless and he could never shoot her so she tells him to do so. Ranveer himself realizes he can't do anything to her, she has become his weakness. They just cuddle the rest of the night. When Deepika leaves his house she gets a call from her boss and lets him know that her plan to make him fall for her is progressing the way she wants. Because of the strength of his love she wants him to hand her the documents himself, because he is too good of a agent to beat otherwise. He is always catching her in the act of stealing so she decides she has to make use of the soft corner he has for her. And it actually works, he keeps falling more and more for her. He can't control his staring, his admiration, his feelings. He feels like he found his perfect match in her. A girl who is so fearless, so shameless, so reckless, so fierce. But then he catches her talking to her boss about her plan of making him fall for her. She realizes that she finally reached a part where he would do anything for her so that's why she says "Only until tomorrow night" because that's when she will make him give her those documents. Ranveer is heartbroken. He feels like a fool for actually believing she would put HIM above her job, the way he did with her. Once he fell for her, he didn't care about his job anymore, all he wanted was her but Deepika didn't lose her professionalism one bit. The realization hurts him. He wants to play the same mind games but he fails and bursts out the fact that he knows and leaves her in the dust by saying "You are nothing to me." After that point Deepika finally FEELS. She feels pain. She feels the hurt. She then realizes she was feeling for him all along, she just didn't admit it to herself. The fact that she is feeling all this pain makes her realize, he isn't only her project, she actually loves him. Seeing him live in front of her makes the pain grow even bigger, she tells him that she can't be two more minutes with him. Of course Ranveer doesn't buy all of that anymore, it seems like another plan to him. Slowly through that conversation he realizes her sincerity though and he admits that one thing he hasn't lied about is his love for her. Then they get sick of pretending to their bosses, keeping up this act, when all they want is to be far from that world now, with each other. That's why they decide to flee. Leaving both of their bosses a video message from their flight. After that you see their relationship progress in polaroid pictures.
