Answer of Sheikh al-Muhaysini on a questioner who wants to go forth, but however he is wavering between Baghdadi's group and the other factions

Peace be upon and the mercy of Allah and his blessings

Allah bless you noble brother

I ask Allah that he accepts from you this good blessed intention
and that he makes us and you firm on his religion
and that he gives us and you martyrdom in his path, accepting and not retreating

My noble brother, you mentioned an issue, that you desire going forth in the path of Allah
and Jihad in the path of Allah, however you have not resolved your affair regarding the issue
about the groups found in Sham

So I say my opinion to you in this,
that if you are coming to the land of Sham, and you have not resolved your affair
regarding the issue of Baghdadi's group, I say to you - do not come to the land Sham
And (instead) go forth to any land of the lands of Jihad in the path of Allah
Today, the Rafida are fighting the people of Sunnah in every land.
Go to your brothers in Yemen, fight with them against these Rawafid Houthis
Or other than this from the lands of Jihad in the path of Allah,
that the enemies of Allah are repelled within it to raise the banner of Tawhid (monotheism)

As for your going forth to the land of Jihad while you have not resolved your affair
regarding these of who kill the Muslims and make Takfir of them and spill their blood
Then I say to you a word, that noble brother
I want you to memorize it and be conscious of it and put it between your eyes:
"By Allah, if you meet Allah, with the sin of sitting from the path of Allah, which is a major sin
is lighter than if you meet him, and hanging from your neck is that you killed Mujahidin in the path
Allah without right"

Yes, sitting from the path of Allah is a sin and disobedience, however spilling the blood of the Muslims
and making Takfir of them without right is a greater sin

And if you say: "I will go forth and not make Takfir of the (other) factions"
I say - Many have said that before you
and they wanted the same thing you want. They wanted to not make takfir on the Muslims and not kill them
so then they became like them issue by issue, progressing in the takfir of the Muslims
and sufficient for you is the statement of the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam):
"A man is on the religion of his friend, so let each of you look at who he takes as friends"

I say to you, if you want to come to the land of Sham, resolve your affair first
if you incline to these, who make takfir on the Muslims and kill them,
then I say go to another arena of Jihad
if the matter is resolved with you, then come to Jihad in the path of Allah
for the land of Sham is a blessed land, a land that reject fitan (trials)

And whoever says about the Jihad in Sham that it is "fitna"
then he does not know the reality of Jihad in Sham
for the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: Iman (faith) when fitna occurs is in Sham
which fitna is that fighting against the Nusayris and Rafida
and defending the honor of the Muslims and their blood?

And regarding who do you choose from the factions.
then choose one of the factions that in the path of Allah
pick the one that is most close to your heart, and most beloved to yourself
and I consider them all - insha Allah - fighting to raise the banner of Tawhid and on tremendous good
so the one close to you, and what you see from them that provides you with good company
that is fighting in the path of Allah, then join them

I ask Allah to accept from us and you, this is a brief answer to your statement
And Allah knows best, and may Allah reward us with good
And we ask Allah that grants us and you that our feet become dusty in his path
And that we meet the enemies of Allah and we kill them and they kill us
And may the blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad and all his companions
And may Allah reward us with good
