My father SURESH KUMAR SETHI employed in fisheries department, has been stranded in HOTEL GRAND QADIR, RAJBAGH, SRINAGAR allotted to govt employees along with few more persons since 6th Sep. I talked to him yesterday morning at around 11 am but I could not be able to reach him afterwards. He told me that Water level is touching the ground floor roof and is raising with every passing hour. Moreover, There is no food and water in the hotel and most of the hotel staff and other hotel mates have already vacated the hotel after climbing the walls from roof top but he and few others could be able to leave the hotel as he was unable to climb the high walls. Our last communication with them was on Sunday evening and since then we have not heard from them. We're trying all helpline numbers but there's no response. They were supposed to take a flight on Monday but it seems they weren't able to make it till the airport.
Please let us know what is the status of rescue operations around Dal Lake? Are tourists being evacuated? Where are they being taken?

My Jiju , Mr. Ajay Paul Gill who is the incharge of 'Department of Youth Services & Sports' went to Srinagar along with more than 150 students for Inter- District games which were supposed to held in Sringar.But due to this tragedy, all of them are caught up in BAKSHI Indoor Stadium.Somehow, Ajay managed to call up this morning and asked for help.He informed us that rescue team is not aware that so many school students are caught up in the stadium and now the students health is getting deteriorated.
I called up Aaj Tak and NDTV Team as well.As per them, the channel is not able to get in touch with the reporters due to the network and power failure in Srinagar.
If anyone gets a chance to read this who can help the people stuck in there, please help them .
