Chemistry
You know the feeling.
You're into him, and you can tell he's into you.
His eye contact is just so.
The corner of his mouth turns up,
Just a bit.
You can see the creases in his cheek.
It's a sly grin.
You're grinning too.
You both edge closer.
Maybe your arms touch,
Just gently.
Or your hands.
Or your feet.
He's warm.
He radiates.
The conversation stops.
Just a little pause.
But the room gets smaller.
He sees you.
And he's all you can see.
Breathe.
Inhale and you can smell him,
almost taste him.
All those pheremones, triggering receptors, triggering nerves, triggering neurons.
Trigger.
Your heart beats hard and fast.
His too.
Where's the oxygen?
Everything 's hot and wet and fuzzy now.
Each hair prickles
and your skin is so,
so sensitive.
You want to press your body on his.Unbearably.
Don't move now.
Don't talk.
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
The moment's over.
Chemistry.
