Objectives

All these accounts are acting for counter terrorism. But they are likely to be reported in mass to Twitter @Support as « harassing » or « threatening with violence » by the ISIS terrorists.

(You probably didn't notice so far how ISIS terrorists are indeed fragile oversensitive poor human beings … Neither did we)

What can be done ?

1 – Users directly targeted by ISIS must report the above accounts to @support for « personal harassment»

2 – Other users can report them for both SPAM and « harassment to others »

Another ISIS subgroup operates a vast collection of ordinary Twitter accounts likely to be hostile to their extremist opinions. They are building a huge block list with the Blocktogether.com application.

Part 3 : ISIS twitter account hijacking campaign

This document explains the procedure ISIS wants to use in order to hijack in mass Twitter accounts created with a disposable mail address such as @yopmail.com or @mailinator.com.

ISIS terrorists are willing to take the control of the largest possible numbers of Twitter accounts to spread their ISIS terrorist propaganda.

What can be done ?

1 / Avoid to use disposable email. If you do so, never use an obvious email, that is to say, an email that contains the account name in it, or a common word. Preferably use a random name, mixing letters and number, for instance Am56XER81B@yopmail.com.

2 / In your twitter account settings, desactivate email notifications.

Click on your small pic profile on the top right side of your screen.

Choose "Settings"
