Description of something... And what is destined to it
The Model/Type of Dawla Organization
Dr. Hani al-Sabai
Defining something, diagnosing and describing it have no relation with the power of establishing or eliminating it! Definition is the consequent of investigation and by following the group’s destiny through its leaders announcements and evidences of events are indicative of their practices; and it is not necessarily that one acknowledges himself that he is a deviant (Khariji). For instance; Former Kharijites like Harqoos, Nafi bin alAzraq, Najdah, Ibn alKawa’, Shubaib and others of their likes; not one of them acknowledged upon himself that he is a deviant Kharijite, who make Takfir on Muslims! But they were arguing that they are (the only significant) Muslims! And they are people of the truth! And subsequently, they deemed lawful the blood of Muslims without any sin, with the claim that they have apostatized!
And indeed it was clarified to us that they are Khawarij through the description of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) regarding them! And from evidences of events where they shed the innocent blood of Muslims, which is considered innocent in Islam, by using principles and evidences that they carve out for themselves due to their rigid misunderstanding from the manifest texts of the Quran and Prophetic Narrations.
The evidences against their deviancy were apparent even before the appearance of the Book of Sects! The situations regarding them are recorded in the History books, which cites down the minutest details from the beginning of their established states until its disappearance; Like the History written by Khalifah bin Khiyat, Tabari, Ibn Jouzi, Ibn Ather, az-Zahabi, Ibn Kathir, al-Maqrezi, Ibn Taghri Bardi, as-Siyooti, Ibn alAmmad and others; which gave us a clear picture of the deviant sects of Khawarij and its branches.
And if we apply this to the group of Dawla(State group); then we will say they are the Awwadiyyah group attributing it to their leader (Ibrahim bin Awwad) who have appointed himself Khalifah! They are Kharijites based upon the evidences of events which indicate their practices of making permissible the blood of sin free Muslims in Islam! As for the faltering few who do not describe them (Awwadiyyah group) as Kharijites! It could be the result between a balance of description, diagnosis, identification and the power of battling to eliminate them! This conception (view) is deficient; because you may describe a group as Kharijites or Haroriyyah or disbelievers or apostates, even if you don’t have the ability to resist and fight them! Prophet (ﷺ) didn’t fight all disbelievers in one go! And even concluding a truce with them didn't let them go away with their characterization of disbelief! It is as if you saw an evil and you could not eliminate it! Inability to remove them doesn’t negate their description of evil! Removal of evil or war upon disbelief or war upon the people of deviated innovation, who have power, authority, material and weapons; causing war and removing their authority is confined to strict Shari'ah criteria. And with Allah comes success.
