Forcible medication after a radio interview
Timo Haara has been sentenced to 18 months in prison in last March.
He was captured by Estonian border officials in late August.
Verkkomedia.org reported his imprisonment and controversial
conviction on August 24. Read the story here

Timo Haara describes his conviction as being a political in nature
and not being based on any law, and he says he has the proof about
that. During preliminary investigation he noted many cases of
misconduct, for example, he says the evidence of his case has been
tampered to be in line of the indictment.
Communcation lost
We received a text messages from him, and the SMS said:
I ask for help from those who receive this message. I have been
forcibly medicated after my interview on Radio Rock yesterday. I ask
all the active people who are concerned about the state of human
rights and freedom of speech in this country. My conduct has been
calm and appropriate.
It's not of my character to be aggressive towards anyone, despite
which I was threatened with forced injections by the prison medicare
in case I refuse to take the anti-depressantpills they gave me. This
happened after the radio interview. They mentioned Seroquel and
Quetiapine. After I said that I wouldn't need or take such medication
because I'm totally peaceful and conducting appropriately ...
The message was cut off.
Was the rest of the message censored? His cell phone cannot be
contacted anymore. The message reveals, however, that he is being
medicated as if his mental health was a problem. Seroquel is a drug to
alleviate symptoms of psychosis and schizophrenia.
An update: a letter from Haara received
Timo Haara said he had sent a hand-written, 7-page letter to me last
week. The letter is crucial for us in order to make it possible to
report his views of his imprisonment and its political nature. We
were very worried for not receiving his letter earlier today. The envelope
shows signs of opening, which is probably a standard procedure
with mail sent out from a prison.
We'll release a more comprehensive report of Timo Haara's
imprisonment after reading up on his letter.
